Thank you for scheduling an appointment with Collaborative Law Corporation, based in downtown Nanaimo. In person appointments are currently being held only when necessary. Unless otherwise advised, your appointment will be by phone or zoom.

If your appointment is by phone: We will call you at the time of your appointment.

If your appointment is by Zoom: You will receive an email invitation on the day of the meeting.

If your appointment is in person at our main office: We are located at Level 4, 17 Church Street, Nanaimo BC. For appointments under 2 hours, parking is usually available on Chapel Street, behind our building (from 75 cents, credit cards also accepted). For longer appointments, we suggest the parking next to Service Canada on Front Street, by the water and over the road from our office. Proceed down the ramp near the traffic lights and enter the parkade to the right.


Preparation for your Appointment

Please bring copies of any court orders or legal agreements regarding your dispute to the appointment. If your appointment is about financial matters or property division, please bring a summary of your assets (including real estate, RSPs and investments, pensions, and savings) and income details. You will also need to bring 2 pieces of ID to the appointment (or to show us online) to satisfy Law Society requirements.

Time Limits and Final Advice

Note that some legal matters are more urgent or have strict time limits. For example, if you have been served with legal documents you often must file a response within a strict time frame.

Failure to do so can result in adverse legal consequences. If your matter is urgent and you are concerned about time frames, please call our office at 250-824-1255 to explain your situation. We may be able to obtain a more urgent appointment date for you.
